Juicy Tri-Tip Steak
Ingredients
- Steaks - 14.1 oz
- Flaky sea salt - a pinch
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Rosemary - 1 sprig
- Thyme - 3 sprigs
- Ground Black Pepper - ½ teaspoon
- Butter - 1.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the olive oil in a grill pan.
Step 2
Place the steak on the pan.
Step 3
Add rosemary and thyme to the pan.
Step 4
After 3 minutes, place a couple of sprigs of thyme on the steak. Move the meat to create a grill pattern.
Step 5
When the steak is nicely browned, flip it over.
Step 6
Occasionally baste the meat with the aromatic oil.
Step 7
Sprinkle the meat with ground pepper.
Step 8
Take a piece of foil and place a piece of butter on it.
Step 9
Transfer the rosemary and thyme from the pan to the foil.
Step 10
Place the meat on top.
Step 11
Sprinkle a few crystals of coarse salt on the steak.
Step 12
Wrap the foil and let the meat rest for 10 minutes.
Step 13
Transfer to a plate. Garnish and serve.
