Description

The fern is not only one of the oldest plants on Earth but also one of the most beneficial. Only young shoots with yet-to-unfurl leaves can be eaten. The taste of fern resembles that of sautéed mushrooms, making it suitable not only as a side dish for meat dishes but also as a standalone dish, such as a salad – a fantastic option!

  • Fern - 17.6 oz
  • Carrot - 2 pieces
  • Onion - 1 head
  • Garlic - 3 cloves

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Soak the fern in a large amount of cold water for 10-15 hours, changing the water 1-2 times during this period.

Step 2

After soaking the fern, cut it into strips about 1 cm wide.

Step 3

Sauté the onion until golden brown, then add grated carrot and cook together.

Step 4

Then turn off the heat, add the garlic and fern. Stir, cover with a lid, and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
