Ingredients

  • Beetroot - 3 pieces
  • Garlic - 4 cloves
  • Salt - to taste
  • Sugar - 2 spoons
  • Ground coriander - 2 spoons
  • Ground Black Pepper - 1 tablespoon
  • Vinegar essence - 1 tablespoon
  • Unrefined Sunflower Oil - 5 teaspoons

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Wash the beets and place them in a pot to boil until they reach a rolling boil. Once the beets are boiling, continue to cook for an additional 10–15 minutes, then let them cool. Peel and grate them using a Korean-style carrot grater (or, if you prefer, chop them with a knife if you're skilled enough).

Step 2

Grate the garlic on a fine grater, add it to the beetroot, season with salt and pepper, add coriander, sugar, and vinegar, and mix well.

Step 3

Heat the oil until it starts to smoke, then let it cool. Pour it over the beetroot and mix well. Cover with a lid and refrigerate for 6 hours.
