Lamb Kefta with Yogurt Sauce
Ingredients
- Lamb Shoulder - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Whole egg - 1 piece
- Fresh Mint - 2.5 oz
- Wheat Flour - 3 tablespoons
- Olive Oil - 1 fl oz
- Natural Yogurt - 1 piece
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a large deep bowl, mix finely chopped meat, finely chopped onion, and half of the chopped mint. Add the yolk, season with salt and pepper. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 2
With wet hands, shape the mixture into small sausages and thread them onto skewers.
Step 3
Chop the remaining mint, add it to the yogurt, season with salt and pepper, and add the juice of one lemon. Gently mix and refrigerate.
Step 4
Coat the kefta in flour and fry on all sides in olive oil.
Step 5
Serve the kefta with mint-yogurt sauce and lavash.
