Lamb Shoulder Pilaf
Ingredients
- Lamb Shoulder - 3 lbs
- Boiled White Round Rice - 2 lbs
- Carrot - 2 lbs
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 3 heads
- Spices - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 3 tablespoons
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse and soak the rice in water, leaving it for a while.
Step 2
Grate the carrot. Peel and slice the onion into half rings. Cut the meat into pieces approximately 5x5x5 cm.
Step 3
Place a wok over heat and pour in the vegetable oil.
Step 4
Add the onion, fry it until brown, then remove and discard.
Step 5
Add the meat and sauté for 1-2 minutes.
Step 6
Add the carrot, mix with the meat. Season with salt and pepper, add more spices and fry until the meat is cooked.
Step 7
Reduce the heat and spread the rice evenly on top. Pour in water so that it covers the rice by about 2 cm.
Step 8
Sprinkle with spices, add salt so that the rice is not bland.
Step 9
Insert the garlic heads (unpeeled) into the rice.
Step 10
Cover with a lid and wait until the rice absorbs all the water. Turn off the heat and mix.
