Lamb Stew with Potatoes
Ingredients
- Lamb Shoulder - 35.3 oz
- Onion - 2 heads
- Orange Bell Peppers - 2 pieces
- New Potatoes - 12 pieces
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Salt - to taste
- Olive Oil - 4 tablespoons
- Red Wine Vinegar - 1 tablespoon
- Bay leaf - 3 pieces
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 2 tablespoons
- Paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Wheat Flour - 1 tablespoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the meat, dry it, cut into pieces, and lightly salt. Peel and finely chop the onion. Wash the pepper, remove the seeds and membranes, and finely chop. Scrub the potatoes to remove the skin. Peel the garlic.
Step 2
Heat the oil in a skillet, sauté the onion and pepper for 4-5 minutes, add the meat, and quickly fry everything together over high heat, then reduce the heat to low.
Step 3
Pour the vinegar into a bowl, dilute it slightly with water. In a mortar, crush the garlic, bay leaves, parsley, paprika, black pepper, and a little salt. Mix with the vinegar. Pour the resulting mixture over the meat in the skillet.
Step 4
Add enough water to the skillet to completely cover the ingredients. Simmer over medium heat for 30 minutes.
Step 5
Add the potatoes to the skillet, and simmer until cooked for another 30 minutes. Dissolve the flour in a small amount of water, carefully pour the mixture into the skillet with the meat and vegetables, boil for 1-2 minutes, and remove from heat. Serve in individual pots.
