Description
Lamb with Fig
Ingredients
- Lamb - 14.1 oz
- Ground coriander - ½ teaspoon
- Fig - 17.6 oz
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Lavender flowers - ½ teaspoon
- Brown Sugar - 3 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the figs and cut them into 2 or 4 pieces.
Step 2
Squeeze the juice from the lemon.
Step 3
Transfer the figs to a pot, add sugar, lemon juice, and lavender, cover the pot with a lid, and set it on low heat. The figs will cook in their own juice, which remains in the pot and does not evaporate. When the figs become soft, remove the pot from the heat and let it cool under the lid.
Step 4
Wash the lamb, pat it dry, and season it with ground coriander. Cover the skillet with a lid and place it on the stove over medium heat.
Step 5
Place the meat on the dry surface of the skillet, pressing it down. Sear for 3 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for 2 minutes on the other side.
Step 6
Then cover the skillet with a lid, reduce the heat to low, and cook for 10 minutes. After that, remove from heat and let it sit covered for 5 minutes. Cooking time depends on the size of the piece and the level of doneness you desire.
Step 7
Serve the meat with fig jam.
Step 8
Enjoy your meal!
