Description
Lasagna Bolognese
Ingredients
- Ready-made dry lasagna sheets - 12 pieces
- Ground meat - 21.2 oz
- Milk - 27 fl oz
- Tomatoes - 4 pieces
- Wheat Flour - 4 tablespoons
- Butter - 2.8 oz
- Olive Oil - 5 tablespoons
- Cheese Spread - 5.3 oz
- Nutmeg - 0 oz
- Basil - 0.2 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a skillet, heat the olive oil, add chopped onion, and sauté for about 3–4 minutes. Add the ground meat and cook it almost completely, for about 10 minutes, stirring constantly. Season with salt, pepper, and basil to taste. While the meat is cooking, prepare the tomatoes. If you have a blender, simply blend them until smooth; if it struggles, add a little olive oil. If you don't have a blender, chop them very finely. Add the resulting mixture to the meat and, stirring constantly, wait until the juice from the tomatoes evaporates completely.
Step 2
Now for the béchamel sauce. In a skillet, or a thick-walled ceramic pot, melt the butter. Once melted, pour in the milk and let it warm up. Then, add the flour one tablespoon at a time, stirring constantly to avoid lumps. Once all 4 tablespoons of flour are added, continue stirring to ensure there are no lumps. Add cloves and nutmeg. When the sauce thickens, it is ready, and you can turn off the heat.
Step 3
Grease a baking dish, or a regular baking tray if you don't have one, with butter. Lay down the first layer of sheets and spread sauce over them. Then, add the meat mixture on top of the sauce. Place the next sheet on top and repeat the sequence—sauce and meat. Finally, place the last sheet on top, spread only sauce over it, and sprinkle with cheese. Grate the cheese and it's better not to sprinkle it all at once, but to save some for later.
Step 4
Place the prepared lasagna in the oven at 356°F. Bake for about 30–40 minutes, but keep an eye on it—every oven has its own baking temperament))) About 10 minutes before it's done, take the lasagna out, sprinkle with the reserved cheese, and put it back in to finish baking (if desired, you can skip the last step with the cheese).
