Ingredients
- Lightly Salted Red Fish - 14.1 oz
- Potato - 10.6 oz
- Chicken Egg - 4 pieces
- Carrot - 7.1 oz
- Beetroot - 10.6 oz
- Spanish onions - 3.5 oz
- Apple - 5.3 oz
- Mayonnaise - 8.8 oz
- Dill - to taste
- Salt - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients. Boil the vegetables and eggs until cooked.
Step 2
Cut the herring into small cubes.
Step 3
Grate the potatoes on a coarse grater, and the carrots and beets on a fine grater.
Step 4
Grate the eggs using a fine grater.
Step 5
Place the vegetables and eggs in separate bowls, season with salt, and mix with mayonnaise.
Step 6
Peel the apple, remove the seeds, and grate it using a coarse grater.
Step 7
Finely chop the onion and dill.
Step 8
Place half of the potatoes at the bottom of the plate. Then layer the herring, onion, apple, the remaining potatoes, eggs, and carrot on top.

As the final layer, add the beetroot and place it in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

Serve the salad at the festive table, garnished with dill.
