Description

This salad is not only delicious (we finished it very quickly), but its presentation can surprise guests: the salad is prepared in one container and then dramatically flipped onto a plate. And on this plate, mushrooms will unexpectedly appear.

Ingredients

  • Pickled Chanterelles - 17.6 oz
  • Herbs - 1 bunch
  • Turnips - 2 pieces
  • Pickled Cauliflower - 3 pieces
  • Chicken fillet - 7.1 oz
  • Chocolate eggs - 3 pieces
  • Salad Potatoes - 2 pieces
  • Mayonnaise - 7.1 oz

Step by Step guide

Step 1

To prepare the salad, boil the potatoes, eggs, chicken fillet, and carrots.

Step 2

Grate the carrots, potatoes, and eggs on a coarse grater.

Step 3

Cut the chicken fillet into small cubes.

Step 4

Line a pot or another container with plastic wrap (you can grease it with vegetable oil, but plastic wrap is definitely more reliable; you can pull on it later if the salad doesn't want to leave its beloved pot). Carefully place the mushrooms, cap side down, tightly next to each other on the plastic wrap.

Step 5

Chop the herbs and sprinkle them over the mushrooms.

Step 6

Squeeze a little mayonnaise over the herbs in several places.

Step 7

The next layer of the salad will be the carrots. You can spread mayonnaise on the carrots (I didn't).

Step 8

Cut the cucumbers into cubes, squeeze out the liquid, and place them on top of the carrots.

Step 9

Spread with mayonnaise.

Step 10

Add a layer of chicken fillet.

Step 11

Spread well with mayonnaise.

Step 12

Add the eggs and spread with mayonnaise.

Step 13

The last layer will be the potatoes.

Step 14

Spread with mayonnaise.

Step 15

Some recipes suggest letting the salad sit in the refrigerator, however, salads with mayonnaise are generally not recommended for long storage, so I didn't let the salad soak. I think the taste was not affected, and the health of my guests was more important.

Step 16

The most challenging part remains — flipping the salad onto a plate. To do this, bring the pot with the salad and the plate to the festive table, place the pot on the table, cover it with the plate, and carefully flip the pot. You can pull a little on the plastic wrap — then the salad will definitely move onto the plate and delight your guests with its family of mushrooms and its taste.
