Step by Step guide
Step 1
First, I prepare the marinade: I peel the ginger and grate it, mix the soy sauce with minced garlic, curry, and add ginger, then mix everything together. The marinade is ready. I marinate the chicken fillet for about 40 minutes.
Step 2
I chop the onion and mushrooms into medium cubes and sauté the onion in vegetable oil until translucent, then add the mushrooms and sauté for another 10 minutes. Then I add 2 tablespoons of sour cream, season with salt and pepper, cover with a lid (low heat), and let it simmer for another 10 minutes. This will make the mushrooms very tender.
Step 3
Separately, I toast the walnuts, and once they cool, I chop them.
Step 4
During this time, the chicken has marinated, I dry it with paper towels and sauté it in vegetable oil until cooked, cool it down, and cut it into thin strips.
Step 5
I boil the potatoes and eggs. Now all the ingredients that required heat treatment are ready. Now I cut the remaining ingredients: I grate the smoked meat, eggs, cucumbers, potatoes, cheese, and finely chop the olives.
Step 6
I layer the ingredients: potatoes; mushrooms with onions and olives; chicken fillet; fresh cucumbers; eggs; smoked meat; pickled cucumbers; apple; cheese and walnuts. I spread sour cream mixed with mustard and herbs on each layer.
Step 7
You can use any shape for the salad. Now it’s time to decorate. For this, I make small indentations in the salad with the handle of a knife. I insert salad leaves that I tear off in a random bunch. It’s better to use different types of salad leaves for a more impressive effect. Between the salad leaves, I place random rose shapes made from sausage. It’s best to use a variety of sausages, both boiled and smoked, and salami, and bacon will work, all according to your taste.
Step 8
I cut the tomatoes into quarters but not all the way through, slightly spread them apart, and insert them between the salad leaves. I use a vegetable peeler to slice the cucumber into thin plates and roll them randomly, making sure it looks cute and appealing.
Step 9
And the final touch is the herbs; I play around with them a bit to complement the whole composition. As you can see, there’s nothing complicated about the decoration, just let your imagination run wild and create.
