Ingredients
- Vermicelli - 3.5 oz
- Chicken gizzards - 14.1 oz
- Napa Cabbage - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Cilantro - 0.7 oz
- Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Chinese Five Spice - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Set aside four leaves of Napa cabbage — these will be the base for the cabbage rolls, and shred the remaining cabbage to your desired fineness.
Step 2
Finely chop the onion and garlic and sauté in vegetable oil until soft, then add the sliced chicken gizzards and simmer, stirring, for five minutes.
Step 3
Season with Five Spice Powder, soy sauce, and lemon juice, add the shredded cabbage, and simmer for another two minutes. Then remove from heat and mix with cilantro leaves and the previously soaked rice vermicelli (different brands may require different cooking times, so check the package).
Step 4
Place the finished mixture of gizzards, vermicelli, and vegetables on the cabbage leaf base and serve.
