Lazy Cabbage Rolls with Rabbit
Ingredients
- Rabbit Fillet - 28.2 oz
- White Cabbage - 1 piece
- Turnips - 3 pieces
- Parsnip - 5.3 oz
- Rabbit - 1 piece
- Rice - ½ cup
- Dry White Wine - 7 fl oz
- Baking Tomatoes - 14.1 oz
- Oregano - a pinch
- Pork fat - 3.5 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- 10% cream - 3 fl oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pass the rabbit fillet through a meat grinder and finely chop the heart.
Step 2
Cut the cabbage leaves at the stem, and immerse them in salted boiling water for 4 minutes.
Step 3
Boil the rice for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Dice the onion, carrots, parsnip, and fat.
Step 5
Fry the fat for 5 minutes, then add the onion and garlic (olive oil can be used instead of fat if desired).
Step 6
Add the carrots and parsnip, and sauté for 3 minutes.
Step 7
Add the minced meat and sauté for 10 minutes, adding salt.
Step 8
Add the crushed tomatoes, simmer, then add the wine and oregano.
Step 9
Finally, add the cream.
Step 10
Take a baking dish and layer it: cabbage leaves, minced meat, sprinkle lightly with rice, then more cabbage leaves, minced meat, rice, and finish with cabbage leaves, spreading sour cream on the top layer. Instead of sour cream, you can use tomato sauce on the top layer.

Cover the dish with foil and bake for 40 minutes at 356°F.
