- Lentils - 15.9 oz
- Onion - 2 heads
- Carrot - 2 pieces
- Butter - 3.9 oz
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Cayenne Pepper - 1 teaspoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 teaspoon

- Passata Tomato Sauce - 4 teaspoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Breadcrumbs - 3.9 oz
- Peanut Butter - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Nutmeg - ½ teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the lentils in a pot and cover with 1.5 liters of water, bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on low heat for 40 minutes.
Step 2
In a skillet, sauté the carrot, onion, and garlic, add the pepper, and cook for 10 minutes. Season the lentils with salt and pepper, transfer to a bowl, and mash into a puree. Add the vegetables, cayenne pepper, nutmeg shell, herbs, and tomato paste. Allow to cool.
Step 3
Divide the mixture into 24 portions and shape into patties. Brush with beaten eggs and coat with breadcrumbs. Fry the patties in hot peanut oil until golden brown. Drain the oil and serve.
