- Spinach - 10.6 oz
- Lentils - ½ cup
- Turmeric - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Dried Garlic - ¼ teaspoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Black Pepper - ¼ teaspoon
- Water - 2 cups
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Add the dried lentils to a saucepan and pour in 2-3 cups of water.
Step 2
Add the spices and cook covered for 20 minutes over medium heat, checking the liquid level occasionally.
Step 3
Remove the lid and add the spinach, along with more water if needed.
Step 4
Cover again and continue cooking for another 15 minutes.
Step 5
Remove the lid, stir, and cook for another 5-10 minutes until the water is fully absorbed. Season to taste with salt and pepper.
