Liver Salad with Pickles
Ingredients
- Chicken Liver - 24.7 oz
- Turnips - 2 pieces
- Onion - 2 heads
- Mayonnaise - to taste
- Milk - 1 cup
- Pickles - 8 pieces
- Sugar - 1 teaspoon
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Nutmeg - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Rinse the liver well under running water and soak it in milk for 20 minutes.
Step 2
In a preheated skillet, fry the liver in sunflower oil for 15–20 minutes.
Step 3
Add salt to taste.
Step 4
Add pepper.
Step 5
Add nutmeg and simmer until cooked. Transfer to a bowl and let cool.

Slice the onion into half rings.
Step 7
Fry in the same skillet until golden, caramelizing with sugar.

Add coarsely grated carrots to the onion. Fry until cooked.
Step 9
Cut the liver into small strips with a sharp knife.

Slice the pickles into strips.

Combine all ingredients in a deep bowl and mix, adding mayonnaise.
