Machete Steak
Ingredients
- Marbled Beef - 7.1 oz
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Thyme - 1 sprig
- Mixed Ground Peppers - to taste
- Sumac - to taste
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Butter - 1.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the steak in the heated oil in the skillet.
Step 2
Dip the sprig of thyme in the oil, lightly pound it onto the meat, and place it on top.
Step 3
After 3–4 minutes, flip the steak. Reduce the heat to medium.
Step 4
After 4–5 minutes, transfer the meat to foil.
Step 5
Season with the mixed peppers.
Step 6
Add sumac.
Step 7
Top with a thin slice of butter.
Step 8
Wrap the steak in foil.
Step 9
After 5 minutes, transfer the steak to a plate and slice into portions.
Step 10
Salt and serve. Optionally garnish with herbs and vegetables.
