Description
Use small mackerel — it is more tender than its larger counterparts.
Ingredients
- Canned Mackerel in Oil - 2 pieces
- Salad Potatoes - 2 pieces
- Sweet Red Onion - ½ piece
- Bay leaf - 2 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 5.3 oz
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Dry White Wine - to taste
- Thyme - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Olive Oil - to taste
- Ocean salt - to taste
- White Beans - 10 pieces
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Chop half of the red onion into feathers, cut the potatoes and garlic into sticks, and take the white beans out of the freezer. Rinse the fish, remove the tail, head, and fins, and cut it into pieces.
Step 2
In olive oil over medium heat, sauté the onion and garlic until soft. Then do the same with the potatoes. Don't forget about the spices.
Step 3
Add the beans. Use them frozen.
Step 4
Pour the tomato paste into the pot as soon as the beans soften.
Step 5
Then add the dry white wine. Let the alcohol evaporate — about 5 minutes, then add water. When the contents of the pot come to a boil, add the pieces of mackerel to the vegetables and stew the fish for no more than 7 minutes.
