Marinated Chicken with Medium-Spicy Red Chili Sauce

Ingredients

  • Meyer Lemon Juice - 6 fl oz
  • Dry White Wine - 6 fl oz
  • Olive Oil - 3 fl oz
  • Mild Chili Spice - 2.4 oz
  • Garlic - 9 cloves
  • Shallot - 3 heads
  • Soy Sauce - 1 fl oz
  • Honey - 1 fl oz
  • Fresh basil leaves - 0.8 oz
  • Skin-On Chicken Breasts - 8 pieces

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a blender, combine lemon juice, wine, olive oil, chili powder, minced garlic, finely chopped shallots, soy sauce, honey, and oregano. Blend until smooth.

Step 2

Place the chicken breasts in a dish and pour the marinade over them. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate overnight.

Step 3

Preheat the grill.

Step 4

Pour the marinade into a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Cook for 5 minutes.

Step 5

Season the chicken with salt and pepper. Place on the grill and cook for 5 minutes on each side until done. Brush with hot sauce and place on plates. Garnish with oregano sprigs and serve with warm sauce.
