Description
Do not prepare mashed potatoes in advance – potatoes lose 90% of their vitamins.

- Salt - to taste
- Milk - 8 fl oz
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Potato - 1⅕ kg

Peel the potatoes, cut them into large pieces, and place them in a pot. Add cold water and a teaspoon of salt. The water should cover the potatoes completely. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat and simmer for 20-30 minutes, until the potatoes are tender. Drain the water.
Step 2
Melt the butter in another pot over low heat, add the potatoes, and mash them using a spatula or a special tool. Once the butter is fully absorbed, slowly pour in the hot milk while continuously stirring the mixture with a wooden spatula. Taste and add salt if necessary.
Step 3
Serve immediately - or keep warm.
