Description
Recipe by Jennifer Smith from our show 'Taste of Childhood'.
Ingredients
- Potato - 28.2 oz
- Veal Tenderloin - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 3 heads
- Butter - 5.3 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 2 fl oz
- Milk - 7 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
An hour before cooking, partially freeze the meat in the freezer to make it easier to slice. Peel the potatoes, cut them into large chunks, and boil until tender. Drain the water, mash with a potato masher, season with salt, pour in milk, and add butter, mixing well. Add an egg and mix quickly.
Step 2
Heat 30 ml of vegetable oil and 50 grams of butter in a frying pan. Slice the onion into half rings and sauté until golden brown.
Step 3
Slice the partially frozen meat thinly, season with salt and pepper, and tenderize with a mallet.
Step 4
In another skillet, heat vegetable oil and butter in the same amount as for the onions. In batches, fry the flattened pieces of meat on both sides for one minute.
