Meat Chebureks
Ingredients
- Water - 16 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Sugar - 0.2 oz
- Salt - 0.3 oz
- Meat - 28.2 oz
- Onion - 14.1 oz
- Ground Black Pepper - 0.2 oz
- Wheat Flour - 16.9 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Dissolve salt (5 g) in water (240 ml) and gradually add the liquid to the flour (which already contains the egg and oil), mixing well.
Step 2
Place the resulting dough under a bowl for 30–40 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, grind the meat and onion through a meat grinder and add salt (5 g), pepper (5 g), and water (240 ml).
Step 4
Take the dough and divide it into equal parts (about 10 pieces should be obtained).
Step 5
Roll out into a flat round; place a heaping tablespoon of filling on one half of the round.
Step 6
Seal the edges and press them with a fork. Do not stack the prepared chebureks on top of each other — they will stick!
Step 7
Take a deep frying pan or pot, heat 1 liter of vegetable oil, and immerse the chebureks. 1–2 chebureks at a time — depending on the capacity of the pan or pot.
Step 8
Fry until golden brown, turning with tongs or two spoons. In total, it should take about 5 minutes for all. The chebureks are very juicy inside, so they need to be immersed and turned carefully. Juice may splash a lot.
Step 9
Remove the chebureks and place them on baking paper to absorb excess fat.
