Description
Lamb mince can be replaced with beef or any other type you prefer. You can add about 100 grams of white bread to make the meatballs softer. The potatoes are listed by pieces, depending on appetite; if they are small, take more so that you can eat them all at once.
Ingredients
- Pork Mince - 14.1 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Salad Potatoes - 4 pieces
- Butter - 1.8 oz
- Parsley - 4 sprigs
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Take one onion, preferably a small one, so there are no leftovers. Finely chop it.
Step 2
In a bowl, place the mince, add the onion, egg, salt, and pepper to taste. Mix everything thoroughly. Let it sit.
Step 3
Peel the potatoes, cut them into large pieces, and place them in a pot. Cover with cold water to fully submerge the potatoes. Put on high heat. After boiling, reduce to medium, slightly open the lid to prevent water from boiling over, and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15–20 minutes.
Step 4
Form 4–6 meatballs from the mince by eye, depending on your size preference, roll them into balls and flatten. Place them on a board.
Step 5
Heat a frying pan, then pour in a little vegetable oil. Place the meatballs in the pan and fry on high heat for 2–3 minutes on each side until browned. Then reduce the heat and cover with a lid, turning the meatballs occasionally. Depending on your stove, fry for about 15–20 minutes.
Step 6
Make the mashed potatoes. Drain the water from the pot with the potatoes, mash them into a smooth consistency using a masher or fork/spoon. Add the butter, and mix until melted.
Step 7
Serve the meatballs and mashed potatoes on a plate, garnished with a sprig of parsley.
