Description
Meatloaf is an ancient dish: it was first mentioned in Roman chronicles in the 5th century. Due to its softness, it was considered suitable food for the elderly and people with bad teeth. Since dentistry as a public institution has only become widespread recently, meatloaf was an extremely popular dish. The base consists of ground meat and white bread, but there are variations that include vegetables mixed into the meat and whole eggs as filling.
