Mediterranean Burger
Ingredients
- Orange Bell Peppers - 1 piece
- Rack of Lamb - 17.6 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Pistachios - 3 tablespoons
- Fresh Mint - 1 tablespoon
- Chopped Sage Leaves - 1 tablespoon
- Chili jam - 1 teaspoon
- Ground Cumin - 1 teaspoon
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Bun - 4 pieces
- Hummus - 7.8 oz
- Arugula - 3.5 oz
- Courgette - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cut the pepper into large pieces, remove the seeds and veins. Grill the pepper, cut side down. Cool in a plastic bag, then slice into small strips.
Step 2
Mix the ground lamb, egg, finely chopped onion and garlic, crushed nuts, finely chopped herbs, cumin, and chili sauce. Mix well by hand and shape into 4 balls. Slightly flatten them to form patties with a diameter of 9 cm.
Step 3
Heat the oil in a pan and fry the patties over medium heat for 6 minutes on each side until golden brown, then transfer to a paper towel.
Step 4
Slice the buns in half and toast on both sides. Spread hummus on the inside, then add arugula leaves, grilled peppers, and cucumber slices. Place the patties on the salad and cover with the other halves of the bun. Serve with chili sauce.
