Ingredients
- Millet - 1 cup
- Pumpkin - 24.7 oz
- Milk - 21 fl oz
- Sugar - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Ground Cinnamon - ½ teaspoon
- Vanilla salt - 1 teaspoon
- Butter - to taste

Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Thoroughly rinse the millet, cover with cold water, and let it soak for 12 hours.
Step 3
Rinse the millet through a sieve under running water, transfer it to a bowl, pour boiling water over it, stir, let it sit for 1 minute, then drain the water and repeat once more. This removes the characteristic bitterness from the millet.
Step 4
Transfer the millet to a pot, add enough water to cover the grains, add salt, and place it over medium heat.
Step 5
Peel the pumpkin, remove the seeds and fibers.
Step 6
Cut the pumpkin into cubes, transfer to a pot or saucepan, add 1 cup of water, and cook until soft.
Step 7
Mash the pumpkin to the desired size or puree it, then add it to the millet.

Add sugar, vanilla sugar, and cinnamon.
Step 9
Pour in the milk, stir, and cook until the millet is done over low heat, stirring regularly.

Serve with butter.
