Ingredients
- Navy Pollock - 17.6 oz
- Chicken Egg - 1 piece
- Scallions - 0.7 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Spices - to taste
- Onion - ½ head
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 3 tablespoons
- Parsley - 0.7 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Finely chop the onion or blend it in a food processor, mix with minced pollock (first pass the pollock through a meat grinder), and add 1 egg.
Step 2
Finely chop the green onion and parsley, add to the minced mixture, and mix well.
Step 3
Add salt and spices.
Step 4
For the sauce: pour olive oil into a skillet, sauté half of the finely chopped onion and grated carrot.
Step 5
Add 3 tablespoons of tomato paste or 2 fresh peeled tomatoes to the vegetables.
Step 6
Simmer the onion, carrot, and tomatoes on low heat for 5 minutes, then add a little water.
Step 7
Form small balls from the minced mixture with wet hands, pour the sauce over them, ensuring the meatballs are completely covered with liquid; add a little water if necessary.
Step 8
Cover with a lid and simmer on low heat for 30 minutes.
