Mini Cabbage Rolls
Ingredients
- White Cabbage - 1 piece
- Ground meat - 7.1 oz
- Cheese Spread - 1.1 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Cream - 3 fl oz
- Spices - to taste
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Rice - 1.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the cabbage into leaves, cut the top part of each leaf into small strips. Place in hot water for 1 minute, then transfer to cold water and dry on paper towels.
Step 2
For the filling, mix the ground meat with pre-cooked rice. Chop the onion and carrot, add to the meat mixture, season with salt and pepper to taste. Mix everything well.
Step 3
Place the filling at the edge of a leaf and roll it up like a tube. Arrange in a small salad bowl.
Step 4
Grate 1–2 tablespoons of any cheese on a fine grater. Add 2–3 tablespoons of cream. Pour the cheese and cream mixture over the cabbage rolls (to hold their shape). Cover with plastic wrap and place in the microwave for 15 minutes at 700 watts. Turn onto a plate and drizzle with sauce.
Step 5
For the sauce, simmer the cream until thickened, adding salt and pepper to taste.
