Moroccan Turkey Skewers
Ingredients
- Chicken fillet - 17.6 oz
- Toasted Cumin Seeds - 1 tablespoon
- Coriander essential oil - 1 tablespoon
- Nigella Seeds - ½ tablespoon
- Paprika - 1 teaspoon
- Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ocean salt - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Heat the cumin, coriander, and fennel in a hot skillet.
Step 2
Crush in a mortar with a pinch of coarse salt.
Step 3
Cut the meat into cubes about 2 cm.
Step 4
Soak wooden skewers in water for 5 minutes.
Step 5
Mix all the spices with olive oil and pour this mixture over the turkey.
Step 6
Mix well and refrigerate for at least 2 hours (preferably overnight).
Step 7
Preheat the oven to 374°F on the top grill setting.
Step 8
Take two thin wooden skewers and thread the meat onto them.
Step 9
Place the ends of the skewers with the meat on the edges of a fireproof dish so that the juices drip into it.
Step 10
Bake for 15–20 minutes until cooked, turning once after 10 minutes.
Step 11
Serve with tomato sauce, green salad, baba ghanoush, and pita.
