Ingredients
- Veal Mince - 24.7 oz
- Hard Cheese - 24.7 oz
- Tomatoes - 3 pieces
- Spanish onions - 3 pieces
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 3 spoons
- Salt - to taste
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Herbs - 0.5 oz
- Water - 6 fl oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice 600 grams of cheese into thin pieces, about 2-3 mm thick, and grate the remaining portion on a coarse grater.
Step 2
Slice the tomatoes into thin rounds.
Step 3
Sauté the onion in vegetable oil until golden brown.
Step 4
Mix the onion with the minced meat and sauté until fully cooked.
Step 5
Add 4 tablespoons of tomato paste and half a cup of water to the filling. Simmer for 10 minutes over medium heat. Season with salt and pepper.
Step 6
In a small square dish, layer some cheese, followed by a layer of filling. Repeat the layers as needed. Finish with a layer of grated cheese and sliced tomatoes on top.
Step 7
Bake in a preheated oven at 392°F for 10-15 minutes.
Step 8
Serve in the dish, garnished with fresh herbs.
