Ingredients
- Mung Beans - 3.5 oz
- Carrot - 1 piece
- Onion - 1 piece
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Dried Garlic - ½ teaspoon
- Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Pour water into a deep pot and add the mung beans. Cook until soft: the beans should be very tender.
Step 2
In a separate deep skillet, heat oil, add spices, onion, and grated carrot. Cook the carrot until tender and add the mung beans.
Step 3
Mix thoroughly and simmer on low heat for a while.
Step 4
Serve with basmati rice or chapati.
