Mushroom Lavash Roll
Ingredients
- Armenian Lavash - 1 piece
- Pickled Chanterelles - 10.6 oz
- Cheese Spread - to taste
- Herbs - 1 bunch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the cheese. You can use fresh, frozen, or canned mushrooms. If using fresh or frozen, sauté them a little with or without onions, and season with salt. For canned mushrooms, simply drain the liquid.
Step 2
Finely chop the herbs. You can cut the lavash into smaller pieces for easier rolling and eating.
Step 3
Spread the filling evenly over the lavash, not too thick, leaving a little space at the edges for easy rolling, and roll it up, tucking the ends in to prevent the cheese from leaking out.
Step 4
Brush with egg or mayonnaise and place in an oven preheated to 180–392°F until the surface is golden brown. This roll makes a great addition to a bowl of soup, especially mushroom soup, but can also be enjoyed with tea.
