Mushroom Patties with Chestnuts and Mozzarella
Ingredients
- Butter - 0.9 oz
- Onion - 1 head
- Garlic - 1 clove
- Thyme - 0.3 oz
- Canned water chestnuts - 14.1 oz
- Fresh Mushrooms - 8.8 oz
- Melted Cheese - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Melt the butter in a large skillet over low heat. Add the finely chopped onion and sauté for 5 minutes. Then add the finely chopped garlic and thyme and cook for another 5 minutes.
Step 2
Finely chop the mushrooms and half of the chestnuts. Increase the heat, season with salt and pepper, and cook for 5 minutes until the liquid evaporates.
Step 3
Transfer half of the mushroom mixture to a food processor and add the remaining chestnuts. Blend until smooth and cool. Transfer to a bowl and add the remaining mushrooms from the skillet.
Step 4
To the cooled mixture, add the grated mozzarella and mix well. With wet hands, shape the mixture into patties.
Step 5
Preheat the grill or skillet. Fry the patties for about 8-10 minutes, then flip and cook for another 5 minutes until done. Serve hot.
