Description
The jam can be stored for about a month, but once the jar is opened, it is best to consume it as quickly as possible. This is an excellent sauce for New Year's roasted poultry, cheeses, and even desserts. It's versatile and very delicious! )))
Ingredients
- Dried cranberries with sugar - 17.6 oz
- Raw cane sugar - 7.1 oz
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Apple - 1 piece
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Grate the lemon zest and separately squeeze the juice.
Step 2
Rinse the berries well and dry them. Transfer to a bowl and add the lemon juice and sugar. Mix well and let sit overnight, stirring 1-2 times.
Step 3
Peel a small apple and remove the core, then grate it. Transfer to a saucepan and add the lemon zest.
Step 4
Drain all the juice from the berries into the saucepan with the apples, adding 2 tablespoons of the berries. Then add 125 ml of water, bring to a boil, and cook for 20-30 minutes until the apples are soft and the syrup thickens slightly.
Step 5
Add the remaining berries and cook for another 5-8 minutes.
Step 6
Pour the jam into sterilized jars, seal tightly, turn them upside down, cover with a towel, and let cool. Then turn them back and store in a cool place.
