The non-alcoholic version of mulled wine closely resembles the real thing, both in appearance and taste. It's important to choose the right cherry juice— it should be tart rather than overly sweet; this way, the base of the drink won't become too cloying when honey is added, and it will complement the cinnamon and star anise, which also taste sweet to our palates.
