Noodle Casserole with Sausages
Ingredients
- Egg noodles for wok - 5.3 oz
- Kebabs - 10.6 oz
- Hard Cheese - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 2.1 oz
- Passata Tomato Sauce - 2 spoons
- Onion - 1 head
- Mayonnaise - 3 spoons
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
Grate the cheese and finely chop the onion.
Step 3
Sear the sausages on a grill pan or on the grill until they are golden brown, about 2 minutes.
Step 4
Slice the sausages into thick rounds.
Step 5
Heat oil in a skillet and sauté the onion until golden brown.
Step 6
Dilute the tomato sauce in 2 tablespoons of water, mix it with the onion and sausages. Cook in the skillet for another 2–3 minutes.
Step 7
In a large pot, bring water to a boil with salt at a ratio of 1 tablespoon of salt per 1 liter of water.
Step 8
Add the noodles to the pot and boil until al dente, about 40 seconds.
Step 9
Drain the noodles in a colander and quickly rinse under cold running water. Let the excess water drain off.
Step 10
Spread a third of the noodles in an even layer in a greased baking dish.
Step 11
Top with half of the sausage filling and sprinkle with cheese.
Step 12
Next, add another layer of noodles, followed by a layer of sausages with onions and tomato sauce, and sprinkle cheese on top again. Then add one more layer of noodles.
Step 13
Spread mayonnaise on top of the casserole, season with pepper, and sprinkle with the remaining cheese.
Step 14
Place in a preheated oven at 356°F for 7–10 minutes, until the crust turns golden brown.
Step 15
Let the casserole rest in the dish for 10 minutes before serving.
