If you are preparing the dish in advance, once everything is ready, transfer the mixture to a heatproof bowl, cover with foil, and keep it in a warm oven.

Ingredients

  • Octopus - 2 lbs
  • Olive Oil - 6 fl oz
  • Onion - ½ head
  • Paprika - a pinch
  • Salt - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a pot of water, add a bay leaf and half an onion, bring to a boil, place the octopus in the pot for 1 minute, and then immediately remove it. When the water boils again, place the octopus in the pot for another minute. Repeat this process three times, and on the fourth time, let the octopus cook for 45 minutes, then drain the water and rinse it under cold water.

Step 2

Remove all dark spots from the skin and cut the meat into small pieces using kitchen scissors. Place the pieces in a bowl, drizzle with oil, add salt if necessary, and sprinkle with paprika. Mix well so that the octopus meat is thoroughly coated with the dressing, and serve immediately.
