- Semi-Smoked Sausage - 5.3 oz
- Leek - 1 stalk
- Cream - 8 fl oz
- Salt - 1 teaspoon
- White Pepper (whole) - to taste
- Ginger - 1 teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 1.8 oz
- Ground Nutmeg - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Slice all the orange vegetables thinly using a slicer, place them in a large bowl, add finely chopped dried apricots, oil, salt, pepper, nutmeg, and ginger, and mix thoroughly.
Step 2
Lay the bacon at the bottom of a saucepan or pot with a tight-fitting lid that can be placed in the oven, ensuring it lines the bottom and sides.
Step 3
Add the vegetables, packing them tightly to minimize empty spaces.
Step 4
Cover with the lid and place in the oven for 30 minutes at 392°F.
Step 5
After 30 minutes, remove the lid, add the cream, sprinkle with grated cheese, and return to the oven for another 15 minutes without the lid.
Step 6
Serve, garnished with fresh herbs to taste.
