- Conchiglie Pasta - 17.6 oz
- Broccoli - 17.6 oz
- Sausages - 8.8 oz
- Olive Oil - 5 fl oz
- Parmesan Cheese - 5.3 oz
- Garlic - 4 cloves
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Separate the broccoli florets from the stalk, placing them in separate bowls. Cut the stalk and set it aside.
Step 2
In a large pot, salt the water and bring it to a boil. Add the florets and cook for 3-4 minutes. It is very important not to cover the pot while cooking green vegetables.
Step 3
Using a slotted spoon, transfer the florets to a bowl and place the broccoli stalks into the same boiling water. Cook until fully tender.
Step 4
Meanwhile, heat the olive oil in a skillet. Add the sausages and sauté until browned. Crush the garlic cloves and add them to the sausages. Then add the broccoli florets, stir, and reduce the heat. You can substitute Italian sausages with Munich sausages.
Step 5
Remove the broccoli stalks from the water and blend them until smooth.
Step 6
In the water where the broccoli was cooked, add the pasta. Once the pasta is ready, drain the water and add the broccoli puree first, followed by the florets and sausages. Mix everything thoroughly.
Step 7
If you want to make a vegetarian version of the dish, simply omit the sausages.
