- Wheat Flour - 14.1 oz
- Water - 2 fl oz
- Dry yeast - 0.4 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 0 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Sugar - a pinch
- Suluguni Cheese - 7.1 oz
- Mustard Greens - 7.1 oz
- Butter - 0.4 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Add dry yeast to the flour and mix. In a separate bowl, combine water, vegetable oil, salt, and sugar. Pour this mixture into the flour with yeast and knead the dough. Leave it to rise for about 20 minutes.
Step 2
While the dough is rising, prepare the filling. Finely chop the beet greens and mix them with the butter. Grate the cheese and add it to the greens with butter. Optionally, add a little salt. The filling for the pies is ready.
Step 3
Form a ball from the prepared dough, then flatten it with your hands or roll it into a flatbread. Form a ball from the filling, place it in the center of the flatbread, and slightly flatten it. Then fold the edges of the flatbread towards the center to cover the filling. While covering the filling with the dough, gently smooth and flatten the pie into the shape of a flatbread. Do not completely close the edges of the dough in the center; leave a small opening for steam to escape.
Step 4
Place the pie on a baking sheet greased with vegetable oil and put it in a preheated oven at 428°F. Bake the pie for 10–15 minutes.
