Ingredients
- Broccoli - 2 heads
- Onion - 2 pieces
- Chicken Egg - 6 pieces
- Carrot - 2 pieces
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Olive Oil - 1 tablespoon
- Oregano - a pinch
- Fresh basil leaves - a pinch
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Wash the broccoli and cut it into florets.
Step 2
Peel the onion and carrot, grate the carrot using a coarse grater, and finely chop the onion.
Step 3
Add the broccoli to the boiling salted water, bring it back to a boil, and cook for 3–5 minutes. The broccoli should remain crisp.
Step 4
Meanwhile, heat olive oil in a skillet and sauté the onion and carrot.
Step 5
Place the sautéed onions and carrots in a heatproof dish, then layer the broccoli florets on top. Season with salt and pepper, and add herbs.
Step 6
Lightly beat the eggs and pour the mixture over the broccoli.
Step 7
Place the broccoli in the preheated oven at 392°F. Bake for about 15 minutes.
