Description
A classic homemade dish – thinly sliced cutlets (we mentioned pork, but it could also be chicken, for instance) are coated in fine breadcrumbs, lightly fried in a generous amount of oil, and then gently finished in the oven. Oven-baked cutlets are made all over the country, and many people do it automatically without looking at a cookbook. However, you'll get more flavor if you take the time to prepare oven-baked cutlets while paying attention to all the nuances. For example, don't forget to dust the meat with flour before dipping it into the beaten egg – the first component of the batter.
Ingredients
- Pork Skewers - 4 pieces
- Breadcrumbs - 4.4 oz
- Dried Rosemary - 1 tablespoon
- Dried Chamomile - 1 tablespoon
- Paprika - 1 tablespoon
- Lemon - 1 piece
- Wheat Flour - 1.4 oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Vegetable Oil - 1 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Place the cutlets between two sheets of plastic wrap and pound them well with the flat side of a meat mallet.
Step 2
Season the cutlets with salt and pepper, then dust them with flour on both sides.
Step 3
Combine the breadcrumbs, lemon zest, oregano, thyme, and paprika.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, lightly beat the egg.
Step 5
Dip the cutlets in egg.
Step 6
Coat the meat in the breadcrumb mixture, ensuring that the crumbs cover all sides of the meat.
Step 7
Grease a baking tray with oil, arrange all the prepared meat on it. Drizzle the cutlets with oil on top and place the tray in an oven preheated to 392°F (about 400 degrees Fahrenheit) for 15 minutes, or until golden brown.
Step 8
Serve the cutlets with cabbage salad and a wedge of lemon.
