Pancakes with Ham and Cheese
Ingredients
- Milk - 2 cups
- Wheat Flour - 1 cup
- Farm fresh eggs - 2 pieces
- Sugar - 1 tablespoon
- Salt - ½ teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Ham - 3.5 oz
- Aged gouda cheese - 5.3 oz
- Sour Cream - 1 tablespoon
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Prepare the batter for the pancakes. In a bowl, combine warm milk and 2 eggs, beaten with 1 tablespoon of sugar and ½ teaspoon of salt. Whisk together.
Step 2
Sift 1 cup of flour (200–250 g). Whisk until smooth.
Step 3
Add 2 tablespoons of vegetable oil to the batter.
Step 4
Cook the pancakes on both sides in a hot skillet lightly greased with oil.
Step 5
Grate the ham on a coarse grater.
Step 6
Cut the cheese into pieces. Reserve some for garnish.
Step 7
Blend the cut cheese with 1 heaping tablespoon of sour cream in a blender.
Step 8
Season the cheese mixture with ground black pepper to taste.
Step 9
Add the ham to the cheese mixture and mix well.
Step 10
Place the filling on the edge of a pancake.
Step 11
Roll the pancake into a roll.
Step 12
Before serving, warm the pancakes in the microwave for 1 minute, then sprinkle with grated cheese and finely chopped ham.
