Ingredients

  • Ciabatta - 17.6 oz
  • Tomatoes - 5 pieces
  • Olive Oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Spanish onions - 1 piece
  • Basil - 1 bunch
  • Malt Vinegar - to taste
  • Salt - to taste
  • Ground Black Pepper - to taste

Step by Step guide

Step 1

In a large bowl, place pieces of bread (about 5 cm wide) and soak in cold water for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, remove the bread, squeeze it by hand, and drizzle with oil. Place on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and dry in the oven at 428°F (3–4 minutes).

Step 2

Cut the tomatoes into large wedges, slice the onion into rings, and tear the basil by hand. Add to the bowl with the bread. Mix well.

Step 3

Drizzle with oil. Refrigerate for 30–60 minutes to allow the bread to soak up the flavors. When serving, add vinegar, salt, and pepper.
