Description
You can use bacon instead of ham, it's up to you :) This recipe differs from authentic Italian pasta, but it's just as delicious :)
Ingredients
- Spaghetti - 14.1 oz
- Olive Oil - 6 teaspoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Ham - 10.6 oz
- Whole egg - 4 pieces
- Grated Pecorino Pepato Cheese - 3.5 oz
- 10% cream - 7 fl oz
- Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Cook the spaghetti in boiling salted water for 7-10 minutes, then drain in a colander.
Step 2
In a skillet, heat olive oil, add garlic, and lightly sauté until golden.
Step 3
Finely chop the ham/bacon, add it to the garlic, and sauté for 5 minutes.
Step 4
Grate the Parmesan cheese using a fine grater. Whisk the egg yolks with the cream and add a pinch of salt.
Step 5
Transfer the spaghetti to a skillet with garlic and ham/bacon.
Step 6
Add the beaten egg yolks and grated cheese, and stir. Keep on the heat for 3 minutes.
Step 7
Sprinkle with ground pepper, garnish with herbs, and serve.
