Pasta Carbonara
Ingredients
- Onion - 1 head
- Ham - 8.8 oz
- Vegetable Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Garlic - 3 cloves
- Olive Oil - 2 tablespoons
- Salt - to taste
- Cream 22% - 1 cup
- Spaghetti - 14.1 oz
- Farm fresh eggs - 6 pieces
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Cheese Spread - 7.1 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Remove the skin from the ham and cut it into thin strips. Fry in a pan with vegetable oil until nicely golden. Place on a paper towel to drain excess fat.
Step 2
Finely chop the peeled onion and garlic. Sauté lightly in olive oil. Season with salt to taste.
Step 3
Pour the cream into the pan and simmer for a few minutes.
Step 4
Beat the egg yolks into the onion and garlic mixture with the cream and mix well.
Step 5
Boil salted water, cook the spaghetti, then drain in a colander.
Step 6
Transfer to a deep serving dish or serving plates. Pour the sauce on top and sprinkle with freshly ground pepper. Top with cheese. Serve immediately.
