Description
Pasta with Bacon, Cheese, and Bell Peppers
Ingredients
- Corn Starch - 2 teaspoons
- Condensed Milk - 1 can
- Chocolate eggs - 2 pieces
- Bacon - 9.5 oz
- Canned Jalapeño Peppers - 100 pieces
- Gomiti pasta (curls) - 9.5 oz
- Cheese Spread - 6.3 oz
- Cheshire Cheese - 6.3 oz
- Parsley - 2.5 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a small bowl, whisk together the cornstarch, milk, and eggs until smooth and set aside for a while.
Step 2
Place the bacon in a large bowl and cover with 100 ml of water. Cook over medium heat until the water evaporates and the bacon starts to sizzle. Continue cooking for 5 minutes until the bacon turns brown and crispy. Transfer the bacon along with the rendered fat to a bowl, add the chopped peppers, mix, and set aside for a while.
Step 3
In a large pot of salted water, boil the pasta according to the package instructions. Drain most of the water, leaving 1 cup for later use.
Step 4
Add the reserved water, bacon (with fat), peppers, milk mixture, and cheese to the pasta. Cook over low heat, stirring constantly, until the cheese melts and the sauce becomes thick and creamy. Stir in the parsley (reserve some for serving).
Step 5
Transfer the pasta to a serving bowl, garnish with parsley, and serve; optionally, you can add a fried egg.
