Description
Pasta with Bacon, Cheese, and Jalapeño
Ingredients
- Bacon - 7.8 oz
- Habanero Pepper - 2 pieces
- Canned Jalapeño Peppers - 1.8 oz
- Pasta (corkscrew) - 15.9 oz
- Salt - to taste
- Condensed Milk - 12 fl oz
- Chicken Egg - 2 pieces
- Spiced Tomato Juice - 1 teaspoon
- Mustard Greens - 1 teaspoon
- Cheshire Cheese - 23.6 oz
- Corn Starch - 1 tablespoon
- Butter - 2 tablespoons
Step by Step guide
Step 1
In a skillet over medium heat, fry the bacon for 8 minutes, stirring constantly, until crispy. Add the pickled and fresh jalapeño peppers and mix well. Set aside a portion on a small plate for serving.
Step 2
Pour salted water over the pasta, ensuring the liquid covers it by 5 cm, and bring to a boil, stirring occasionally to prevent sticking. Cover with a lid, remove from heat, and let sit for 8 minutes until the pasta is al dente.
Step 3
Meanwhile, mix the condensed milk, eggs, spicy sauce, and mustard in a bowl until smooth. In another bowl, thoroughly mix both types of cheese with the cornstarch.
Step 4
When the pasta is ready, drain the water and transfer it to the skillet over low heat, add the butter, and stir until melted. Next, add the bacon and pepper mixture, the creamy sauce, and the cheese, stirring constantly until the cheese melts and the mixture is hot and gooey. Add salt and spicy sauce to taste.
Step 5
Serve hot, drizzling with the remaining bacon and jalapeño sauce on top.
