Pasta with Garlic, Chili, and Lemon

Ingredients

  • Pasta (corkscrew) - 7.1 oz
  • Mild Chili Spice - 1 piece
  • Lemon - 1 piece
  • Garlic - 2 cloves
  • Parsley - 1 bunch
  • Olive Oil - 4 tablespoons
  • Salt - a pinch
  • Ground Black Pepper - a pinch
  • Mustard Greens - 1 teaspoon

Step by Step guide

Step 1

Cook the pasta in boiling salted water. Place a skillet over medium heat and add a couple of tablespoons of olive oil.

Step 2

Add the chopped garlic to the skillet and sauté for a bit.

Step 3

Slice the chili pepper and add it to the garlic, stirring to combine (to make it less spicy, you can remove the seeds from the pepper or just use half of it).

Step 4

Grate the lemon zest into the skillet, then add the lemon juice.

Step 5

Add a teaspoon of mustard. Chop the parsley and add half to the skillet, then season with pepper. Mix well.

Step 6

Drain the pasta, but reserve a little of the cooking water.

Step 7

Add the pasta to the skillet, along with a bit of the reserved water, and mix. Add the water in small amounts, just enough to keep the pasta moist without drowning it.

Step 8

Plate the pasta, garnish with the remaining parsley, and drizzle with olive oil.
