Ingredients
- Peeled Cooked Shrimp - 24.7 oz
- Coarse Salt - to taste
- Ground Black Pepper - to taste
- Olive Oil - 6 teaspoons
- Garlic - 2 cloves
- Canned Tomatoes (Pelati) - 14.1 oz
- Marinated cherries - 14.1 oz
- Fresh basil leaves - 3.5 oz
- Green Tagliatelle Pasta - 8.8 oz
Step by Step guide
Step 1
Season the shrimp with salt and pepper. In a large skillet, heat 4 teaspoons of olive oil over high heat and sauté the shrimp until cooked through, about 3 minutes. Transfer to a bowl.
Step 2
For the sauce, in the same skillet, heat the remaining oil and sauté the minced garlic for 30 seconds, then add the canned tomatoes and 2 cups of water. Bring to a boil, reduce the heat, and cook, stirring, until soft, about 15 minutes. Remove from heat and stir in the halved cherry tomatoes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, in a pot of boiling salted water, cook the pasta until al dente. Drain and return it to the pot. Add the tomato sauce, shrimp, and chopped basil leaves. Toss everything together and serve immediately.
